Come and enjoy this half-day excursion where you can visit two emblematic places of the Dominican Republic.
Our tour will begin by visiting the Basilica de la Altagracia in Higuey, the largest and most important church in the country, then we will continue to Altos de Chavon to visit the wonderful replica of a 16th century Mediterranean village, on the Chavon river.
We head to Higuey, capital of the province of La Altagracia, to visit the Church of the Patroness of the Dominican Republic, the Virgin of Altagracia, and the largest religious monument in the country.
It was inaugurated on January 21, 1971 and was built to replace the ancient shrine dated back to 1572, by the French architects A. Dunover of Segonazc and Pierre Dupré.
Right after, we continue the visit to Altos de Chavon subsequently visited for its amphitheater, Taino museum, art galleries, School of design, church, restaurants and shops, and in the return enjoy unforgettable landscapes.
